Enclothed Cognition
When you look good, you're happier and more confident - performing better than you usually would - the science behind it:
In a 2012 study conducted by two researchers, H. Adam and A.D. Galinsky introduces the term "enclothed cognition", that describes how our clothing can actually change the way we think and act.
In short, they conducted a social psychology experiment, where they found that participants who were simply given a lab coat to wear, showed increased attentiveness, carefulness, and overall performance on attention-related tasks.
Another easy example is wearing formals for work compared to wearing sweatpants to travel or sleep. As soon as we're set in cozy clothes, we know it's time to relax. Subconsciously, the way we think and act changes as well - leaning toward being consistent with what we're wearing.
The same principle applies to activewear.
Wearing high-quality gym clothing that you feel good in, shifts our mindset and subconscious to a state where we feel stronger, more energized, and more confident towards having a great workout.
Being consistently active has enormous physical and mental health benefits. Give yourself that advantage with high-quality activewear that you can feel amazing in.
Look great, to perform even better.
